OASIS will have its first meeting June 6 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Hudson Library & Historical Society, 96 Library Street.

OASIS is an outreach program designed to get women together during the summer to listen, talk, and think about spiritual things.

The goal of OASIS is to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere where women can come with their friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members and be encouraged, inspired, and challenged by other women.

Each month, a different woman will come and share her personal story of turning to God during a pivotal point in her life and how that decision brought hope, peace, and strength.

At the first meeting June 6 Lisa Foster will share her faith story of finding purpose at our first OASIS of the summer. Lisa is a fair trade advocate, marketer, potter, beekeeper, gardener, wanderluster, and naturalist.

Whether creating a marketplace for fair trade accessories, harvesting honey, or throwing a vase, Lisa is focused on faith, family, and the community building. She strives to empower others to live fully by findin hope through the power that each one of us has to make a difference, while understanding the influence of our actions. Lisa and her husband, Chris, have been married for 27 years, have three children, and reside in Hudson.

Every woman is invited. Whether you are young or seasoned, married or single, with or without kids...whatever season of life you may be in, there is a place for you here. Bring friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members too.

No RSVP is needed. The program is free.
