Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a Mason? Would you like to see inside a Masonic Lodge while learning the history of Freemasonry and how it benefits the community?
This June marks the 300th anniversary of modern Freemasonry, created in London, England and spread throughout the world.
Today, 51 Grand Lodges operate within the United States, one for each state plus the District of Columbia. This anniversary will be celebrated throughout Ohio in June of this year. In honor of this, the Hudson Masonic Lodge will be hosting an open house on June 3 at noon.
This event, open to the public, will begin with a cook-out, followed by a tour and presentation covering the history of Masonry. Of particular note will be the history of Hudson Lodge, which dates back to the 1800s, and includes some famous Hudson residents who were Masons, including David Hudson himself.
Hudson Masonic Lodge is located at 49 E. Streetsboro St. in Hudson.
Street parking is available.
