If you unable to attend, individuals can complete the virtual 5K Run or 1.75 mile Mutt Strut from anywhere. Online registration is available at www.active.com (search Freedom Run 5K & Mutt Strut Aurora).

Dogs are welcome to participate in the 5K or Mutt Strut. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 registrants. Preregistration costs $20 until midnight May 19; same day registration is $25 and virtual runner registration is $25. Virtual runners will receive the T-shirt after the race.

Both races will start at 8:30 a.m. near the East Mennonite Road entrance to the park. All dogs must be current on vaccinations and social with all breeds. No retractable leashes are permitted for this event.

Freedom Dog Fest 2017 will follow the races at 10 a.m. with free admission. Fees are required for some activities. A Greyhound fun run will be at 11 a.m. and a pet fashion show at 12:30 p.m. with categories including funniest costume, best bonnet or hat, cutest collar and dog/owner look-a-like.
