The Karen Foundation hosts 17th Annual Fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis

Celebrities including Carlos Baerga, Troy Smith, Hanford Dixon, Jimmy Hanlin, Super Joe Charbonea

Cleveland, OH – The Karen Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis is celebrating its 17th Annual fundraiser, on April 29th, 2017, from 11 am to 6 pm at the Willoughby Brewing Company “WBC” (4057 Erie Street in Willoughby). This year’s theme is “the 2017 unDraft Party – Watch the Orange & Brown Draft Wrong, While We Party Right!” and the emcee is Emmett Golden from The Next Level on ESPN Cleveland (ESPN 850 WKNR).
Working in conjunction with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, The Karen Foundation raises funds to provide respite care for families in Northeast Ohio caring for a loved who is suffering from the debilitating effects of Multiple Sclerosis. These services make a marked impact on the quality of life of both the patients and their caregivers.  
“Our goal this year is to reach $200,000 in total donations – making The Karen Foundation the 3rd largest contributor to theOhio Buckeye Respite Care Program” says Executive Director, David Toth.  “We wouldn’t be successful without our attendee’s and most importantly, our sponsors”. This year’s sponsors include Ganeden, Orlando Bakery, The Envelope Printery, Rebecca Adele PR & Events, Balanced Family, The News Herald, ESPN Cleveland, Diamond Hill, DBH Builders, The Cleveland Oktoberfest and more!
The Karen Foundation has impacted over 200 families in the last 15 years, contributing more than $175,000 in donations.  This past year, the foundation received the top awards from the Ohio Buckeye Chapter of the National Society for MS, to honor the organization and its founders for all it has done to date.  In addition, this year is also very special, as the name sake of the organization, Karen Bradley, lost her battle to Multiple Sclerosis at the end of 2016.  
“This event meant a lot to my mom, and I look forward to carrying on her legacy for many years to come” says Joe Bradley President and founder of The Karen Foundation for MS.  It started in his basement and has turned into an event attracting more than 400 attendees’!
This year’s event will feature an exciting group of Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavs alumni, including Indians Carlos Baerga and Ohio State Alum Troy Smith.
Live music kicks off the party and lasts all day, featuring The Flannel Planet, Light of Two Moons and The Kevin McCarthy Band. Other entertainment includes a legendary Grand Prize Raffle, an Epic Silent Auction, Extreme Fire Breathing Bartender Robbie Flair, Magicians & Balloon Artists, Super Awesome Caricature Artists and more!
