GriefCare Place upcoming events for week of April 23

The GriefCare Place offers support groups that give those grieving the loss of a loved one by death the understanding of the grief process and encourages them that healing will come. All grief support groups are at no cost.

All groups will meet at The GriefCare Place at 4499 Darrow Road in Stow in the same building as Attentive Home Health Services and Western Reserve Foot Clinic – entrance in rear. Call the office for further information and detailed directions at 330-686-1750 or email: griefcareplace@att.net Monthly meeting calendars are posted on the website, www.thegriefcareplace.org.

Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is provided by a licensed professional therapist in affiliation with Moriah Counseling & Consulting. Clients are seen on Wednesday’s at the GriefCare Place by appointment only. Call the GriefCare Place at 330-686-1750.

The GriefCare Place, serving grievers from 66 communities in Northeast Ohio, has been committed since 1997 to bring hope and healing to broken hearts caused by the death of a loved one.

Group Sessions
WIDOWED MEN’S GROUP — This group is designed for men who have experienced the death of a spouse. This group will meet on April 24 at 7 p.m. Led by Mike Farmer.

HALO – Hope After Loss to Overdose is a group for adults dealing with a loss of a loved one due to drug overdose or addiction. This group will meet April 26 at 7 p.m. and will beled by Christine Reinhard B.A.; M.A.; and Lauren Welsh M.S.C.P. Both are Certified Grief Recovery Specialists.

OTHER ADULT LOSSES — An ongoing monthly support group for adults grieving the death of a parent, sibling, close friend, partner, or relative other than a spouse or child. This group will meet on April 27 at 7 p.m. Led by Carrie Sensius.

Upcoming
Spring is around the corner so save the date for the 15th Blooming Brunch on May 6 at the Silver Lake Country Club. The guest speaker will be Kim Hone McMahan former columnist and staff writer for the Akron Beacon Journal.

The “Good Grief Golf Outing” on June 16.
