Destination Hudson seeking photos
Destination Hudson is looking for photographic images to include in a "Then and Now" book. The untitled book is scheduled for publication in November. Anyone having 19th or 20th century photographs that portray community events or sites in Hudson should submit those images to the Hudson Visitor Center, Town Hall, 27 E. Main St., Hudson. Photos can be submitted by mail or in person. The Visitor Center is open weekdays from 9 a.m. -4 p.m. and Saturdays, noon-4 p.m. All submissions should indicate the subject of the photograph, the year in which it was taken and contact information for the submitter.
The deadline for photo submissions is May 5. Submitted photos will be returned following the juried selection process.
The "Then and Now" gift book will be sold exclusively at the Visitor Center and on-line through Destination Hudson's website. Pre-orders for the books will be accepted in the Fall. All proceeds from the sale of the book will go directly to Destination Hudson in support of operating the Hudson Visitor Center.
Sign up for Memorial Day parade
The American Legion Family Memorial Day parade will be May 29 at 10 a.m. The parade will form on Milford Road and go east on state Route 303 to state Route 91 heading north to Markillie Cemetery where there will be a brief service.

Veterans and active duty personnel who would like to march in the parade are asked to complete a Parade Entry form and help commemorate the day. No transportation is provided but veterans are welcome to bring your own vehicle or walk the parade route. A Parade Entry Form must be completed and sent in. Please plan on attending the ceremony at the cemetery to honor our veterans.
Preschool Parents grad celebration
Hudson Preschool Parents will host its graduation celebration May 6, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., at Hudson Montessori School, 7545 Darrow Road.
There will be crafts, stories and a party for preschoolers moving on to kindergarten. All are welcome.

32nd Annual HPP Children's Fair
The 32nd Annual Hudson Preschool Parents Children's Fair will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 29 at East Woods School, 120 N. Hayden Parkway. This will conclude the Week of the Young Child at East Woods School. There will be new vendors. Things to enjoy fair include:
Fun activities from balloon animals to gymnastics and more
Kids' identification/fingerprinting kits from GASP
Information on summer camps, dance and gymnastics classes, music classes, organizations and more from approximately 50 vendors
Lots of food for sale and great entertainment
Chances to win at the 50/50 and item auction
