The program will be available during the regular train schedule on Saturdays and Sundays in April and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays beginning in May.

As a special promotion, passengers taking advantage of Bike Aboard! during opening weekend (April 1 and 2) will receive a ticket for a free Bike Aboard! ticket to be used another day in the season (expires May 26, 2017).

In addition, all Bike Aboard! passengers in the month of April can put their name in a drawing for a FREE Bike Aboard! Season Pass. Drawing will be held May 1, 2017.

“Bike Aboard is a great way for locals and visitors to enjoy the towpath,” said CVSR’s new President & CEO Joe Mazur. “Last year, CVSR had a record number of passengers take advantage of this program. I am excited to kick off a new season.”

Passengers should arrive 10 minutes before the departure time and pay fare when they board. The train can be flagged down at the stations.

The towpath is currently open from Rockside Station to Akron Northside station. Bikers and hikers should note that the towpath section between Rockside Station and Canal Exploration Center will be closed beginning at the end of April 2017 and throughout the season.
