The local chapter of Dining for Women, a global giving circle dedicated to educating and empowering women and girls in developing countries, will be hosting its next meeting on March 19 at 6 p.m. at 7312 Hayward Road, Hudson.

This month's featured program is Caravan to Class, an organization out of west Africa that brings literacy to the villages around Timbuktu, Mali.

Dining for Women's involvement with this program will allow Caravan to Class to train 200 women in 10 villages in classical literacy, teaching them basic reading, writing and calculating in their local languages to both improve their livelihoods and empower them to be important advocates for education in their villages.

Come for a delicious potluck as the group learns more about Caravan to Class.
