League of Women Voters hosts summer social

Published: September 18, 2016 12:00 AM

League of Women Voters of Hudson invites the community to come to its summer social Sept. 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Karen Leith's House, 7379 Stoneyledge Circle (Stonebridge Development, off Stow Road).

The event is a fun gathering that celebrates the vision of League of Women Voters, past, present and future. No longer an organization of just women for women, LWV fights for a voice for every voter. Lift a glass of wine in celebration of 96 years and still strong.

Come see what is happening and celebrate the vision that makes a difference. Learn more about our role in Making Democracy Work, reaching out to young voters, our observer corps and what it means for transparency and accountability in government, our redesigned web page, Facebook and much more. Hear the details of the new state study on primaries.

The event is open to members, friends and interested individuals. The goal is getting the word out about League's presence in the community.
