Learn to plot a bestselling novel at the Hudson library

In preparation of November's National Novel Writing Month, the Hudson Library & Historical Society will kick off its brand-new Writing to Publish Series with award-winning and USA Today bestselling mystery author Amanda Flower on Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. Flower will offer advice on how to plot a bestselling novel that will sell into today's high stakes and competitive market.

The Writing to Publish series will be held the first Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m., September through December. Future topics will be "Writing Query Letters with literary agent Vicki Selvaggio," "Getting the Call and Selling Your Book the Traditional Route," and "Navigating the Changing World of Self-Publishing."

Flower is a national bestselling and award-winning mystery author of 19 books. Her middle grade mystery, Andi Unstoppable, won the 2015 Agatha Award for Best Children's/YA Novel. She also writes mysteries as USA Today bestselling author Isabella Alan. In addition to being an author, she is an adult services librarian at Hudson Library.
