Mark your calendars for the 2014 Taste of Hudson, presented by Akron Children's Hospital, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. The food, music and lifestyle festival is now a regional destination for Labor Day weekend and draws almost 35,000 people over its two days.
"What started out as a project for the Leadership Hudson class of 2003/2004 has evolved into one of the largest festivals in Ohio," said Executive Director Andy Malitz. "Food is core to the event, and we are grateful to have the support of a robust and diverse culinary community in and around Hudson."
The 2014 Taste of Hudson restaurant partners are: Adam's Reserve New York Cheddar/Great Lakes Cheese, Aladdin's Eatery, Cilantro Thai and Sushi Restaurant, Donato's Pizza, Downtown 140, Flip Side, Hershey's Ice Cream, Hudson's Restaurant, Jaipur Junction-Hudson, Luchita's Mexican Grill and Tequila Bar, Marcelita's Mexican Restaurant, Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies, North End, Nosh Eatery and Creative Catering, One Red Door, Otani Japanese Restaurant and Hibachi, Peachtree Southern Kitchen and Cocktails, pizzaBOGO, Rosewood Grill, The Rotary Club of Hudson Clocktower Ice Cream, Tomato Grill, Zeppe's Italian Bistro, 3 Palms Pizzeria and Bakery, and Hudson's Catering.
Taste of Hudson offers a chance for attendees to sample an array of restaurants using a simple pre-loaded dining card available at several locations within the festival. Participating restaurants offer sample size tastes of items found on their standard menus or offer some creative spins on customer favorites.
In addition Taste of Hudson offers non-stop live music on six stages, the North End Wine and Beer Garden, where guests will enjoy libations and music in a comfortable, sophisticated atmosphere, a luxury car show presented by Diamond Auto Group, an arts and crafts fair, an extensive children's area -- sponsored by Primrose School of Hudson, and the much-loved Little Tikes Land, where the youngest guests can find plenty of diversions, including the Jo-Ann Stores Kids Craft Zone.
