The Hudson Chapter of Newborns in Need will meet Saturday, May 17 from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Hudson, 21 Aurora St., (parking and entrance in rear).
They will continue with current projects, making baby sets for graduation gifts for clients at Pregnancy Solutions. They also provide receiving blankets, burp cloths and bibs for Pregnancy Care, crib sheets, quilts and slings for Akron Children's and snuggle dolls and memory envelopes for Hillcrest Hospitals. The group also knit and crochet hats, booties, sweater sets and blankets for the various agencies. At present we are in the process of crocheting outfits for a hospital in Southern OH.
All newcomers are invited, as there is always a need in all areas of cutting, sewing, finishing, knitting and crocheting. People are free to come when they can and leave when they must. Lunch will be provided.
Newborns in Need is also in great need of cash donations or JoAnn gift cards to buy supplies to use in projects. Donations can either be mailed to Newborns in Need in care of First Presbyterian Church of Hudson, 21 Aurora St., Hudson, OH 44236 or drop them off to Sue Tinker any time during the week.
The Hudson chapter of Newborns in Need is the only chapter in North East Ohio. Call Sue Tinker at 330-607-0856 for more information.
