Angela Kwallek Evans has been hired as a full-time program officer at The Burton D. Morgan Foundation in Hudson.
She will share responsibilities for reviewing grant applications, making recommendations to trustees, and working with grantees to ensure that grants are properly administered.
Foundation President and Chief Executive Officer Deborah Hoover commented, "The Foundation is delighted to welcome Angela Evans to our team. She brings great strength in the areas of philanthropy, education and the law and has already become fully engaged with our grantees and their work in the region. We are fortunate to have found a candidate with skill sets so pertinent to our mission and operations."
Evans previously served as a program officer with the Toledo Community Foundation, where she provided support for multiple grant-making opportunities that advanced arts, education, and health and wellness programming, and efforts to promote strategic alliances and partnerships between nonprofit organizations.
Evans earned a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Toledo.
"As The Burton D. Morgan Foundation continues to explore and support regional programs that maximize philanthropic impact via entrepreneurship, I am eager to begin engaging with the Foundation's diverse partners from the education, business, and philanthropic and nonprofit communities who have each played a critical role in revitalizing Northeast Ohio," commented Evans.
