Hudson Community Education and Recreation's Explorer Zone students participated in Awareness Week, Oct. 28 through Nov. 1, offering participants the chance to learn about several diseases and needs in the community. The Explorer Zone is the before and after school child care program for students in K-6 at the Hudson City Schools. Explorer Zone participants learned about Breast Cancer Awareness, All Cancers Awareness, Autism Awareness, Bullying Awareness and Feeding the Hungry. Each day marked a different color the children were encouraged to wear in support of these issues. Canned food donations were brought in by the Explorer Zone participants, and a large box of food was then donated to Hudson's food pantries.
