Families in Hudson and surrounding communities will be able to join families around the world participating the Music Together early childhood music program.
"Our emphasis is on family music in the context of early childhood development," said David Palomo, founder and director of Music Together Summit.
After five years in Fairlawn, Palomo and his colleagues Marian Goss and Becca Moskovitz, have opened a Music Together family music center in Hudson Park Center on Darrow Road.
Palomo, who has graduate degrees in counseling, said, "When I went to the Music Together training, I was very impressed at how everything I was seeing and learning fit so perfectly with everything I had learned about early childhood development. I knew right then I wanted to bring this family music to families in my community."
Dr. Catherine Melver from Akron Children's Hospital has been bringing her daughter to classes in Fairlawn for almost a year.
"Music Together Summit has been wonderful for our daughter Zoe," Melver said. "She loves the CDs and sings the songs throughout the week, and we're definitely seeing the developmental benefits as well."
