Gloria Dei LutheranChurch Lenten services
Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hudson, Ohio announces its Lenten Services and Soup Suppers.
For the first time, they will offer noon services during Lent, as well as the 7 p.m. services.
All services will be in the Sanctuary.
The Rev. Dr. Eric Tritten will preach on the following topics during both Lenten services:
The series is entitled Places of the Passion:
April 5 - The Trial: A Place of God's Will
April 13 - Maundy Thursday - The Last Supper: A Place of Forgiveness
April 14 - Good Friday - Golgotha: A Place of Simple Love
April 16 - Easter Sunrise - The Empty Tomb: A Place of Remember (with Holy Communion)
At 6 p.m., before the 7 p.m. services, the church will provide a soup supper.
Gloria Dei Lutheran hopes people will be able to come to any of these services and the soup suppers.

Egg Coloring Event at Hudson Presbyterian Church April 8
Please join the Hudson Presbyterian Church, 201 W. Streetsboro St., for an Egg-stravaganza! Egg Coloring Event on April 8.
Leave the mess to us as you and your family decorate eggs. Doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 2 p.m. Drop in when the time is right for you. There is no cost, but donations are welcome. All materials included. A Children and Nursery Ministry Sponsored Event. Proceeds to benefit Blankets for Hope.

Gloria Dei Lutheranhosts Easter Egg hunt
Please Join the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church Youth Group as they prepare to celebrate Easter through faithful and fun Easter Egg Hunt. The Youth, along with financial support from Thrivent Financial, will host the egg hunt on April 15 at 1 p.m.
The hunt will take place on the beautiful grounds of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 2113 Ravenna St. in Hudson. Children ages 2-10 are welcome to attend with their families. The children will be grouped according to age, Ages 2-5 will take part in a traditional "egg drop and hunt" on the side lawn, while ages 6-10 will enjoy a "hunt" throughout Gloria Dei's Prayer Path.
All eggs will contain candy or surprises for the children. Refreshments will be served.

Temple Beth Shalom'sTots Around Town
Temple Beth Shalom announces the 2016-17 schedule for its community-based program for families with pre-school aged children, "TBS Tots Around Town."
TBS Tots Around Town is a playgroup-style series of gatherings for all kinds of families with Jewish children ages 5 and under at various locations in and around Hudson. Each session consists of fun themed activities, as well as snacks, socializing, and story time with PJ Library.
There are several events scheduled for the 2016-17 school year:
April 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. - "Spring Discoveries" at Liberty Nature Center, Twinsburg
June 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. - "Shavuot Park Day" at Hudson Springs Park, Hudson
There is no fee to attend any of these events, and membership in Temple Beth Shalom is not required. However, pre-registration is necessary (RSVP deadline is the Friday before each event), and some programs have limited enrollment.

LGBTQ supportgroup meets monthly
St. Mary Church, 340 N. Main St. in Hudson, is offering a Family Ministry Support Group to address the needs of those who are LGBTQ and their families.
Many parents and family members identify with various feelings: relief, anger, mourning, fear, guilt, shame, loneliness and parental protectiveness. If you are struggling with any of these feelings and are looking for support please consider participating in the St Mary Family Support group. The meeting day is generally the fourth Tuesday of every month to accommodate more folks.

First United MethodistChurch in Cuyahoga Falls
Worship services at First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, are on Sundays at 8:30 and 11 a.m. The church has many Sunday School classes for all ages which meet from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. There is child care available for infants through preschoolers all morning and there is a Children's Worship service for those in Kindergarten through fifth grade during the 11 a.m. service.
The First Church Epworth Youth Choir will present its annual Home Concert on April 2 at 7 p.m. The choir, consisting of seventh through 12th graders, will have just returned from their week-long Spring Tour to Indiana, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee.
Going Strong will meet on April 13 at 1 p.m. to hear Dr. Glenn Atwood speak about his trip to Bhutan and Nepal, two Himilayan countries. He will discuss highlights of the trip as well as give an overview of the two very distinct cultures.
Plan to attend the Holy Week services at First Church: Palm Sunday - April 9 at 8:30 & 11 a.m.; Holy Thursday service of Communion and Tenebrae - April 13 at 7 p.m.; Easter Vigil - April 15 from 10:30 p.m. to midnight; Easter Sunday - April 16 at 9 and 11 a.m.
The annual Easter Egg Hunt at First Church will take place April 15, at 11 a.m. A light lunch will follow. All children in the community are invited.
