Registration is now open for the 2016 Winter CYO Sports Season for the following: third through eighth grade boys basketball registration; third through eighth grade girls basketball registration; and third through eighth grade cheer - There are fees to participate. October is designated “Respect For Life Month.” To support this mission, Knights of Columbus Council 2362 will place a baby playpen at the front entrance of St. Joseph Church through Oct. 30. Parishioners are asked to help fill the playpen with baby and toddler items. All donations will be taken to the Community Pregnancy Center in Barberton.
St. Joseph will be the host site for the first six weekly meetings of JustFaith, an intensive, small-group program for faithful Christians looking to deepen their commitment to care for vulnerable people and the planet. The group will meet in Nolan Hall on Tuesdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. through Nov. 1. Following the first six weeks, JustFaith participants will meet for phases two, three and four of the program at other locations in Summit county. Youth Group will meet on Oct. 16 from 6 to 7 p.m. in St. Martha’s Kitchen at the school. Enjoy fun with friends, faith formation, and service activities.
