First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls events for Oct. 14

Worship services at First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, are on Sundays at 8:30 and 11 a.m.
The church has many Sunday School classes for all ages which meet from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. There is child care available for infants through preschoolers all morning and there is a Children’s Worship service for those in Kindergarten through fifth grade during the 11 a.m. service.

The annual All Hallow’s Eve Party at First Church will take place on Oct. 26, from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. It is for ages 4 through sixth grade. Children under 4 are welcome to attend with a parent. Dinner is available at 5:45 for those interested. To make your reservation for dinner and/or the party, call 330-923-5241, Ext. 218.

ThanksLiving. On Saturdays Oct. 29 through Nov. 12, set aside time to purposefully give thanks. From 10 a.m. to noon the church will have a time of silence, prayer and coloring. Call 330-923-5241, Ext. 210 to register.

Join the congregation for a concert by the Falls Festival Chorus, directed by Chuck Kobb, on Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. The program is entitled, “When We Were Young... Or Not Born Yet.”

On Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m., Dr. Agnes Wan will perform on piano.  She is an Assistant Professor of Piano at Virginia State University, and Adjunct Lecturer of Applied Music (Piano) at the College of William and Mary, and a Steinway Artist.
