The Men's Club of St. Mary Church is proud to once again sponsor its Lenten Seafood Dinners. This is the 29th year for this popular feast, which will begin on Feb. 28. The Friday dinners will continue for six additional weeks, the last Friday being April 11. The dinners are open to the public. People have traveled from all over the Greater Cleveland/Akron/Canton area to experience one of the best Lenten menus in the area. The event's popularity has even drawn the attention of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, twice appearing in its Food Review section and was a past cover story for the Hudson Magazine.
More than 20 different selections are offered, including a kids menu. Another reason for the popularity of these dinners is the reasonable prices, an important factor for the many that make these dinners a weekly family outing. The "healthy" side of our menu offers grilled/baked fares such as salmon, rice, and vegetables.
The dinners are served in the lower hall of St. Mary's Church, located at 340 North Main (Route 91), in Hudson. Doors open at 5 p.m., the last dinner order being taken at 7:30 p.m. Sit down and eat in the hall or call for fast "take out" food. Phone ahead 330-650-0722 ext. 244 or order online at www.stmaryhudson.cc/seafood to avoid the lines for takeout or dine-in. Visa and MasterCard accepted.
The Men's Club of St. Mary's is an organization open to all men of St. Mary Parish. The club sponsors events such as Hudson High School's Career Awareness Night, St. Mary's Annual Picnic, Father-Child Canoe Outings, Spiritual Retreats, as well as special programs like Christmas Poinsettias for Shut-ins, Hudson Habitat for Humanity House, and the Men's Club Scholarship Fund.
