April is Parkinson Awareness month. More than 5 million people are afflicted with the disease with no cure.
Parkinson is a progressive disease: it changes over time and each person is affected differently. Parkinson Awareness month is a national effort to bring Parkinson disease to the forefront.
Hudson merchants recognize the importance of supporting such an effort.
Many merchants are displaying the Parkinson collection boxes on their counters. Throughout April, to donate, visit Suburban Sit, Uncommon Art, The Learned Owl, Tomato Grill, Salon Techniques, Heather's Heat, and Destination Hudson and Visitor Center.
For more information, to donate or to get involved in the upcoming Parkinson walk in June, call 330-807-1517.
