CLEVELAND -- Matthew F. Kadish, of Hudson, has been named to the 2017 Edition of Best Lawyers, the oldest peer-review publication in the legal profession. The recognition is reserved for a lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area to be honored as the "Lawyer of the Year."
This was the third time Kadish has earned the Lawyer of the Year designation.
He also was named to the 2017 Best Lawyers list in the category of Tax Law and Trusts and Estates practice areas. Super Lawyers, honored Kadish with the 2017 Ohio Super Lawyer title in the Tax category. He received the distinction in the Top 100 Lawyers in Ohio and Top 50 Lawyers in Cleveland lists by Super Lawyers this year. He has been named to various Super Lawyers lists of distinction annually for more than a decade.
Kadish business clients in tax-related planning, including matters concerning foreign bank account reporting and disclosures.
He is a frequent speaker and instructor at numerous seminars and institutes nationwide. Additionally, he has appeared in various publications in the tax and estate planning-related fields. Kadish also serves as the CEO of the Small Business Council of America.
Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Kadish spent six years in private practice in Washington, D.C., where he was active in lobbying Congress and the IRS, and provided legislative monitoring for several trade associations. Earlier in his career, he served as law clerk to Hon. Herbert L. Chabot, U.S. Tax Court. The Hudson resident earned his LL.M. in Taxation at New York University, his J.D. with honors from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, and his B.A. from Williams College in Massachusetts.
