Akron, OH- Mature Services is proud to announce that Phillip Nabors, owner of The Mustard Seed Market and Café is the new Culinary Chair for their fundraiser “The Melting Pot ~ A Taste of Many Nations.” Nabors will join Madeline Bozzelli, who has been the event’s Committee Chair since the fundraiser’s inception in 1994 and will oversee the selection of Chefs to participate in the event.

Nabors’ Mustard Seed is the largest locally owned retailer of natural and organic products. Mustard Seed will be adding a store soon in Highland Square, not far from the Mature Services home office, so the partnership just seemed natural.

“I am pleased to be able to help Mature Services celebrate their 10th Anniversary of “The Melting Pot ~ A Taste of Many Nations”,” said Nabors. “This is the nonprofit organization’s only fundraiser, and I am looking forward to working with local culinary professionals and restaurants to provide the best ethnic food dishes.”

Every dollar raised is used to support older adults and those with disabilities. Mature Services provides services such as homemaker/home health aide/chore, supportive services, emergency food, congregate & home delivered meals, treatment for alcohol, gambling and mental health problems, employment & training, and volunteer opportunities. “We are delighted to have Phillip Nabors as our Culinary Chair this year,” said Linda Valentine, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mature Services, Inc. “The success of our organization depends on the commitment of people like Phillip, who are willing to step up and lend a hand, and it is good for our clients to see that those in the community care about their needs.”

The event will be held at St. George’s Family Center on Thursday, Sept. 11, and in addition to the great food, they will have music, a silent auction and a raffle. For tickets or more information, go to www.matureservices.org, or call 330-253-4597 x199.
