Hudson Farmers Market would like you to meet Kristy Hitesman of Baked Earth Dog Snacks.

Dog lovers, rejoice. Hudson Farmers Market has a new vendor, offering treats for pups large and small.

Kristy is the owner and Chief Baking Officer of Baked Earth. Her two pooches are CTO's (Chief Tasting Officers) and have approved every recipe now in production.

A self proclaimed foodie and dog lover, Hitesman said she wanted to be sure she knew what was going into the treats she fed her dogs. Her desire led to a marriage of two of her passions and a company that offers wholesome dog treats made with safe, local ingredients. The gluten and corn free treats have no added salt or sugar.

Hitesman began making treats for her own dogs, then expanded into making treats for others. She said she is a big proponent of the local food movement and wanted people to have local options to give their pets. Using fresh, local ingredients from small farms and businesses helps ensure a safe, quality product for pets, Hitesman said.
