Great Clips participates in head shaving campaign to fight cancer

The 220 Group Ltd., which in Hudson does business as Great Clips of Hudson, was proud to provide services for the St. Baldrick's Foundation's "head shaving" campaign in Austintown, Ohio. St. Baldrick's Foundation secures funding for research to eradicate pediatric cancer.

More children are lost to pediatric cancer than any other disease. In fact, more children die from pediatric cancer than all other disease-related causes combined. To raise funds, as well as awareness, St. Baldrick's asks individuals to raise pledge dollars for their cause. Once the pledges are received, the participants have their head shaved at a "head shaving party" thrown by the sponsor.

Great Clips has been a part of the O'Donold's Irish Pub Team sponsorship for the past four years where the participants are shaved in a huge outdoor tent in the parking lot shared by Great Clips of Austintown and O'Donold's. The weather was frigid on March 15, but the hearty participants braved the elements, pledged more than $4700 to the Foundation and promptly had their heads shaved for all to see and share.
