Cuyahoga Falls — Kathy Romito, Community Relations Coordinator at Summa Western Reserve Hospital, has been elected to join the Board of Directors for both the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce and the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce.
In 2014, Romito will begin her three-year term in Cuyahoga Falls and two-year term in Stow-Munroe Falls. In each role, she will provide insight and leadership for the Chamber of Commerce, which is an organization that promotes, supports and serves the members of its community by encouraging economic growth and improving the quality of life.
“Community relationships are key to successfully integrating wellness and health into our communities, especially during this time of massive change in the healthcare industry,” Romito said. “The appointment to both the Stow-Munroe Falls and Cuyahoga Falls Chamber Boards is a tremendous honor for me personally, and it’s a clear reflection of Western Reserve Hospital’s dedicated care and wonderful reputation in the communities it serves.”
Responsible for all charitable events, Romito’s responsibilities at the hospital also include establishing and maintaining strong community partnerships by working closely with schools, businesses, churches, local government organizations and more.
Romito has served in numerous community organizations, including several committees in the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from Kent State University and her certificate in development from Case Western Reserve University.
