Hudson - LifeCenter Plus Health and Fitness Club introduces the use of MOVbands at their fitness facility. MOVbands fit on the wrist and track all activities, creating an awareness of all movement and encouraging more.
"As the first fitness club to offer MOVbands, we're eager to help our members establish healthy lifestyles through the activity monitors," said Jerry Lynch, co-owner of LifeCenter Plus. "MOVbands enable an immediate reward in exercising and friendly competition, since they constantly monitor all activity. There's always an incentive to exercise and a constant reminder to make healthier choices."
MOVbands are wrist-worn activity monitors that record all movement, in addition to steps. They are equipped with three modes that makes it easy to switch from time, to daily moves, to total miles.
MOVbands participants are entered into the MOVchallenge at LifeCenter Plus. Participants receive rewards like free fitness assessments and colored bands to reflect their goals earned. Goals may include reaching a certain amount of miles and attending 10 exercise classes, in addition to having accumulated the most miles the end of each session.
With enrollment, participants are granted a 25 percent discount off of accelerated exercise classes, including Boxing, The Biggest Loser and Skinny Jeans. They are also given a USB charger and online registration to track and monitor movements for ranking and rewards.
MOVbands are available for $30 at the LifeCenter Plus front desk. MOVchallenge goals change every three weeks. Rewards are given at the end of each 3-week session. For more information, contact Jennifer Stefanak at 330-655-2377 ext. 138.
