Hudson - Secret Tea Society founder Angela Strach-Gotthardt will open Secret Tea Society Holiday Pop-Up Salon and Shop, a temporary retail tea salon and shop in historic downtown Hudson during the upcoming holiday season.
This marks the second holiday season the Pop-Up Salon and Shop will be located within the Brewster Mansion, an 1853 Gothic-style brick and sandstone mansion at 9 Aurora St. The "pop-up" tea salon and shop will offer a curated selection of specialty teas, pots and accessories. Tastings, to include herbal blends, rooibos, white, green, oolong, black and pu'erh teas, will be held daily, along with an opportunity to chat about issues of the day.
Strach-Gotthardt will continue her tradition of bringing in new and unique items from her personal furnishings collection, including her signature vintage settee, to create the cozy feel of a turn-of-the-century Parisian salon.
Strach-Gotthardt founded the Secret Tea Society in 2010 as a way to engage smart, savvy ladies in lively conversation and to indulge her love of tea. Since then, her popular monthly tea salons have expanded to include young ladies and smart, savvy gentlemen. She shares her knowledge about tea at speaking engagements throughout northeast Ohio, and offers "Have Tea Will Travel" events that combine tea education, cultural enrichment and travel.
"During last year's Pop-Up Salon and Shop, I enjoyed meeting so many wonderful, interesting people who shared my passion for tea, conversation and beautiful things. Brewster Mansion continues to be the perfect setting for people to step away from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and simply relax with a cup of tea," said Strach-Gotthardt.
From now through Dec. 14, Secret Tea Society Holiday Pop-Up Salon and Shop will be open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
