To wrap up 2013, Countryside Conservancy is offering two classes aimed at the farming community.

On Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 6 to 8 pm, Mary Ann Burger, CPA and owner of The Number Manager, Inc. in Cuyahoga Falls, will teach Record & Bookkeeping.  Attendees will learn how to keep flawless records for their farm business ensuring that they’re prepared when tax time arrives in a few months.  Ms. Burger will walk participants through the many types of records, tips for organization, various accounting methods and bookkeeping, and tax readiness.

On Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 6 to 7 pm, Rob Ziemkiewicz from Farm Credit Mid-America will lead Financing Your Farm Business. This class will walk attendees through the typical paperwork required for getting a farm business loan and the proper preparation of a balance sheet. Participants will gain a clear understanding of pertinent finance terms and will leave feeling confident to begin a conversation with any potential lender.  This is an excellent class for beginning farmers or anyone looking to expand their farm business.

Both classes will be held in the meeting rooms of Church in the Valley in Peninsula, Ohio.  Registration for each class is $25 at www.cvcountryside.org.
