At the most recent Great Clips Convention on Sept. 24 and 25 in Baltimore, Md., Jeff Lehman, President of The 220 Group, Ltd., in which Hudson does business as Great Clips of Hudson, was awarded the highest national honor for community service - the Community Franchisee Award.
Lehman was given the award for exceptional service to the communities in which he has locations, as well as exemplifying the Great Clips Brand.
Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications Terri Miller said Lehman's creation of the "Believe in Miracles" campaign, which resulted in a $40,000 donation to the Cleveland Clinic's Children's' Hospital, creating a campaign for donations for every Indians' home run which results in approximately $8,000 donated annually to The Gathering Place, the current food drive wherein Great Clips franchisees are partnering with Marc's and in which Great Clips of Hudson will match donations up to $1,000 to local food banks, and the creation of Hudson's Most Inspiring Teacher contest in which school children are encouraged to nominate a teacher who has inspired them in and out of the classroom and for which a donation is made to the school's media center in the winning teacher's name.
For the third consecutive year, Great Clips of Aurora received a Mainsail Award from Great Clips, Inc. Nationwide, Great Clips has 3,300 salons and this award recognizes the top ten percent nationally who achieve excellence in growth, client retention and superior customer service. Megan Contrafalsky, an Aurora High School alumnus and Manager of the Aurora Great Clips, was recognized for her leadership and accepted the award on behalf of the entire Aurora team.
