JAND YOGA opens new studio

JAND YOGA announced the opening of their new studio, which features traditional yoga, meditation, exclusive workshops, special events and more.

"Many people go through the 'exercise' of yoga, but are missing the roots--the traditional principles on which yoga was founded," said JAND YOGA owner, Jacquelyn Hieber. "We feel there is a need in the community for a studio, which focuses on these traditional principles that seem to have been lost in the commercialization of what many consider 'yoga' today."

JAND YOGA provides a unique difference by offering limited class sizes to ensure personalized attention to students during practice. JAND YOGA teachers are trained in multiple styles of yoga by the most respected yogis practicing today, Sri Dharma Mittra, Andrei Ram-Om, Yiannis Andritsos, Jonny Kest and Peter Sterios.

JAND YOGA's studio opened June 15, offering free yoga classes on the First & Main Green Sunday mornings. JAND YOGA's Yoga on the Green is a charitable event, and 100 percent of all donations benefit Children's Miracle Network. Yoga on the Green is held every Sunday in June and July from 8 to 9 a.m. Green Roots Collection graciously opens their store as a rain location. To date, Yoga on the Green has raised $316 for Children's Miracle Network.

"We are in awe of the support from the wonderful people and merchants of Hudson and surrounding areas. We would like to thank White House Black Market, 3 Palms Pizzeria, Cold Stone Creamery, Caribou Coffee, Green Roots Collection and Spa Walden for donating their time, delicious treats, and discounted shopping for all Yoga on the Green class participants. We are grateful to be a member of such a caring community," Hieber said.

JAND YOGA is located at 86 Owen Brown Street in Hudson, Ohio. The studio is open seven days a week. See their website www.jandyoga.com for class and event schedules and to sign up for their first Yoga Basics Workshop on June 17.
