Fitness event supports breast cancer research

Crossfit Cadre, 5170 Hudson

Drive in Hudson, will host the third annual Anne's Army Work Out Day at 7 a.m. Jan. 19 to benefit the Anne M. Wolf Foundation. The Crossfit community will once again contribute to this cause in honor of Anne Wolf, a 29-year-old woman who lost her battle with breast cancer. Since 2011, the foundation has donated $52,000 to support the Anne M. Wolf Fund for Breast Cancer Research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. Every dollar raised for the Foundation goes directly to support breast cancer research.

Crossfit Cadre has designed a "Workout Of the Day" in honor of Anne. It is inviting athletes to register a team of three to compete in a 25-minute "As Many Reps As Possible" (AMRAP). The workout will be scalable for all levels.

To register, visit the foundation website at www.annesarmy.org. All participants and spectators 12 years and older are welcome. Early team registration (as of the end of day Jan. 2) is $100 and includes three event T-shirts. Registration will remain open and is available on event day for no extra charge. Event T-shirts will be available for an additional $5 while supplies last Additional event information, pledge forms and the event day waivers are also at
