The Veterinary Center of Hudson, offering full veterinary and emergency services, has expanded to include a dog daycare and boarding facility, Bed & Bark. The facility also will feature Bubbles & Bark, a full-service grooming salon.

Ashlynn Brink joins the staff as daycare and boarding coordinator. She is a graduate of Kent State University and has two years experience in dog daycare management. In addition to having managed a pet supply store for four years, she is a certified groomer and pet nutrition expert.

VCH has also added a second full-time veterinarian, Dr. Valerie Shaker. She joins the clinic after graduation in 2012 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completing her clinical rotations at The Ohio State University of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in feline medicine and surgery.

VCH has also promoted Jennifer Hamilton to practice manager. She has been with the clinic since it opened in 2011 and oversees all hospital client services. She is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Veterinary Technology and has been a registered veterinary technician for 17 years. She has more than 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine and has worked in both emergency and specialty medicine.

"We are proud of our growth and thankful for the overwhelming support we have received from the Hudson community," said owner Dr. Daniel Bestic.
