Artist, authors visit Learned Owl Book Shop

Silhouette artist returns to Learned Owl Silhouette artist Terry Bramble will return to the Learned Owl Book Shop, 204 N. Main Street, Nov. 18 and 19. Bramble is especially known for his portraits of children. Single portraits are $34, but with an additional $15 purchase from the book shop they are $24. Appointments may be made for any time on Nov. 18 between 12 and 5 p.m. or Nov. 19 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Each appointment lasts about 30 minutes. 'What happens next' author visits Nov. 17 Novelist Colleen Clayton will appear at the Learned Owl Book Shop, 204 N. Main St, Hudson, with her debut novel "What Happens Next" Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. Clayton has worked with troubled teens as a social worker and as program supervisor for Big Brothers Big Sisters. She lives in Ohio with her family and recently received her master's degree from the Northeast Ohio Consortium at Youngstown State University. Taekwondo black belt pens new book Author Mike Mullin will demonstrate his Taekwondo techniques and sign his new book, "Ashen Winter," at the Learned Owl Book Shop, 204 N. Main St, Hudson, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. "Ashen Winter" is the second book in his Ashfall trilogy that explores a world under Yellowstone National Park where a supervolcano has erupted. 'The Seneca Scourge' author visits today Hudson's own Carrie Rubin brings her medical thriller, "The Seneca Scourge" to the Learned Owl Book Shop, 204 N. Main St, Hudson, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. In the book, Dr. Sydney McKnight, a young physician battling the deadliest influenza pandemic of all time, joins forces with Dr. Casper Jones, an odd new research virologist whose arrival coincides with the virus's advent, and whose presence raises more questions than answers.
