SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) -- A northern Ohio judge has sentenced a slain toddler's mother to 11 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to permitting child abuse in the boy's 2012 death.
The Sandusky Register (http://bit.ly/1cg7592 ) reports Danielle Flannery was sentenced Thursday.
A message seeking comment was left Friday for Flannery's attorney.
Flannery's 3-year-old son died in July 2012 while in the care of her then-boyfriend.
Police allege Flannery's boyfriend delivered the fatal blows that resulted in the boy's death, and he is in jail awaiting trial on murder and other charges.
Authorities believed Flannery was holding back details about the evening the boy died and about past abuse he had suffered.
