LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) -- The chair of the Dona Ana Community College presidential search committee has announced three finalists to be the school's next president.

Bernadette Montoya said Monday that the three final candidates include current interim president Andrew J. Burke; Renay Scott, provost at Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio; and Lydia Tena, Northwest Campus Dean at El Paso Community College.

The three finalists were selected from 27 applicants.

Officials say the candidates will visit the school to meet with the public, faculty, staff, and students from March 5 to 7.

The provost of New Mexico State University is expected to make a final decision later in March.
