KETTERING, Ohio (AP) -- Police in suburban Dayton are draining a retention pond in their search for a missing 87-year-old woman whose car was found submerged this weekend.
Police in Kettering say they do not suspect foul play in the disappearance of Margaret Spilker. She was last seen Saturday afternoon headed to the grocery store, and her vehicle was found that night.
The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/1kyJ9yB ) reports that a dive team searched unsuccessfully for Spilker on Sunday, and crews worked Monday to pump water out of the 8-foot-deep pond.
Police found Spilker's car after receiving reports about a submerged vehicle.
