Husted to talk about Ohio's voting irregularities

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio's top election official plans to talk about voting irregularities and continuing efforts to keep voter rolls accurate.

Secretary of State Jon Husted (HYOO'-sted) has scheduled the media briefing for Wednesday morning.

Husted's comments are coming on the heels of a House-approved measure that will help keep Ohio's voter registration database up-to-date.

The bill would require state agencies to share data with the secretary of state to help maintain Ohio's voter records. For instance, the state's health director would have to file monthly reports concerning voters who have died so the deceased could be removed promptly from the voter rolls in the perennial battleground state.
