ASHTABULA, Ohio (AP) -- A judge has set a $100,000 bond for the wife of a northeast Ohio judge accused of trying to poison him with antifreeze.
The (Ashtabula) Star-Beacon (http://bit.ly/1aFnUma ) reports that 71-year-old Carla Hague didn't appear in court for the Thursday hearing, with her attorney acting on her behalf.
Hague -- the 71-year-old wife of Ashtabula County Common Pleas Juvenile-Probate Judge Charles Hague -- was charged this week with trying to poison him with antifreeze in September. She is charged with felonious assault, but officials say attempted murder charges will be considered by a county grand jury on Dec. 18.
Jail records said she was still behind bars Friday morning.
A special prosecutor and an outside judge have been appointed to handle the case.
The Hagues have been married for 45 years.
