FAIRFIELD, Ohio (AP) -- A southwest Ohio judge has set bond at $1.5 million for a Cincinnati man police had searched for after his former girlfriend was shot to death.
Fairfield Municipal Court Judge Joyce Campbell on Tuesday set a preliminary hearing Nov. 14 for 28-year-old Nicholas Delaney.
Police in the north Cincinnati suburb charged Delaney with murder after the early morning Oct. 31 shooting of 24-year-old Samantha Decker at her home.
A message was left Tuesday for Delaney's attorney, David Washington of Hamilton.
Delaney went to the police department the afternoon of Nov. 1 with his attorney and surrendered. Fairfield police had reported earlier that Delaney's yellow Ford Mustang was spotted in Cincinnati and was towed to Fairfield for evidence processing.
