EATON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (AP) -- Authorities in northern Ohio are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left two of the three occupants dead.
The State Highway Patrol says a Ford F-150 pickup was traveling north on Cowley Road in Eaton Township just before 5 p.m. Sunday when the driver lost control and struck a utility pole, causing the vehicle to flip several times.
Authorities say 23-year-old Nocholos Russell of North Ridge and 24-year-old Jeffery Bouman of Columbia Station, died at area hospitals. They say 23-year-old Jordan Smith of Columbia refused treatment at the scene but later was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
Authorities believe Russell was the driver. They say they have not determined whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
Eaton Township is about 30 miles west of Cleveland.
