WHITE DEER, Pa. (AP) -- Authorities say an early morning collision between a bus and a tractor-trailer in central Pennsylvania has killed one person and injured at least a dozen people.
State police said the crash was reported just before 2 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 80 in White Deer Township in Union County.
Police said a woman was killed in the crash and at least two Life Flight helicopters responded to the scene. There was no immediate word on the condition of those injured.
Sgt. Frederick Dyroff told The (Milton) Standard Journal that about 40 passengers were on the Greyhound bus, which was believed to be heading from New York City to Ohio.
The westbound lanes of the interstate were shut down, but one lane of travel was opened just before 5 a.m. Wednesday.
