CINCINNATI (AP) -- A Cincinnati man has been arrested in the death of his girlfriend's 2-month-old son after the infant suffered severe head injuries.
Police responded to a report at 1 a.m. Tuesday that 2-month-old Tyrelle Key wasn't breathing. He died early Wednesday morning.
Doctors say the baby had severe head trauma.
The boyfriend of Tyrelle's mother, 21-year-old Daniel McClure, was arrested and charged with felonious assault.
He pleaded not guilty and is being held on a $1 million bond.
His attorney, Tim Cutcher, says McClure "is still dealing with finding out the child died," but declined to comment further.
Police Sgt. Joseph Briede (BREE'-dee) says McClure likely will face more serious charges.
He says McClure was alone with Tyrelle when he was injured. He declined to say where Tyrelle's mother was.
