DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- Health officials in southwest Ohio have found no additional cases of active tuberculosis at a nail salon after an employee there was diagnosed with the disease.
Public Health of Dayton and Montgomery County said Friday that no active cases were found in screenings of nearly 400 clients of the suburban Dayton nail salon. A person must have an active case in order to spread it to anyone else.
The health department says current customers of the Galaxy Nail Spa in Miami Township are not at risk because no one working there has active TB.
The diagnosed employee is on leave and being treated.
Health officials urged testing for anyone who had been to the spa more than once since March 1 and any customer with a weakened immune system.
