FAIRBORN, Ohio (AP) -- A grandfather accused of fatally shooting his adult grandson multiple times has been taken into police custody following an afternoon dispute that escalated in western Ohio.
Fairborn police said officers responded to a 12:30 p.m. call to the grandfather's home, where they found the grandson unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene.
An initial police report indicates the grandfather was taken to the police station and was cooperating with investigators. Officers said in their report that the grandfather shot his grandson with a handgun and then called police.
The grandson reportedly lived at the home.
