HAMBURG, Germany (AP) -- Hamburger SV defender Slobodan Rajkovic tore ligaments in his left knee in the 1-0 Bundesliga loss at Werder Bremen, while midfielder Milan Badelj broke his left hand.
The injuries are a setback for Hamburg, which is trying to avoid relegation. The club is 16th in the 18-team league.
Rajkovic was only in his second game of the season on Saturday. The Serbian player was relegated to the reserves but was brought back by new coach Mirko Slomka.
Rajkovic will be out for months.
Hamburg hopes Croatia's Badelj will be able to play with a special brace.
