KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) -- Olympic women's Alpine race referee Atle Skaardal and two colleagues have been involved in a minor traffic accident.
Skaardal, who won two world championship gold medals in super-G as a racer, tells The Associated Press the three were assessed Thursday at a hospital and one is "still there for some checks."
The Norwegian official says "It's OK. The situation should be under control."
Skaardal says the accident happened at about 10 a.m. (0600 GMT) on an off day for race officials after the women's downhill on Wednesday.
Norwegian state broadcaster NRK reported that their car was waiting at traffic lights and was hit from behind by a bus.
