SAO PAULO (AP) -- Former AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato has been traded from Corinthians to rival Sao Paulo for midfielder Jadson.
Pato was among the players criticized by Corinthians fans who invaded the team's training center in a protest last weekend. His agent told Brazilian media the player didn't feel safe anymore and wanted to leave.
Corinthians was said to have paid about 15 million euros (($19.65 million) to sign Pato from AC Mlian in January 2013. The 24-year-old, who has 10 goals in 27 international appearances, struggled and never became a regular starter.
The 30-year-old Jadson was on Brazil's Confederations Cup roster last year but also has been slumping. He has made eight appearances for the Selecao.
