MILAN (AP) -- Fiorentina eased to a 3-0 win over Bologna, while Lazio beat Livorno 2-0 as both sides got back to winning ways in the Italian league on Sunday.
Josip Ilicic scored his first goal in eight months before Borja Valero and Serie A leading goalscorer Giuseppe Rossi sealed the win for Fiorentina.
In Roma, Miroslav Klose netted twice in the German's first start in a month for Lazio following a shoulder injury.
Fiorentina moved provisionally into fourth place, two points ahead of Inter Milan which plays at third-placed Napoli later Sundy.
Elsewhere, it was: Chievo Verona 0, Sampdoria 1; Genoa 1, Atalanta 1; Parma 0, Cagliari 0; and Udinese 0, Torino 2.
Also Sunday, Serie A leader Juventus hosts Sassuolo, while AC Milan entertains Roma on Monday.
Fiorentina was looking to get back on track in the league after two defeats in its past three games. Ilicic gave the home side the lead in the 13th minute with a superb solo effort, driving the ball past Gianluca Curci after evading the efforts of three defenders for his first goal since a summer transfer from Palermo.
Curci did well to deny Juan Cuadrado and Rossi but Fiorentina doubled its lead shortly before the half hour when Valero collected Rossi's pass and slotted it into the far bottom corner.
Fiorentina was in complete control and Rossi rounded off an impressive performance with a delightful lob in the 64th minute from Valero's pass.
The Unitede States-born Rossi, who plays for the Italian national team, is the top scorer in Serie A with 13 goals, four more than Inter's Rodrigo Palacio.
Lazio was without a win since Oct. 27, but Livorno hadn't won in Rome since 1943, losing its past 16 matches.
Klose almost gave Lazio the lead in the 17th when he slid in on a through ball from Antonio Candreva, but his effort hit the left post.
The two combined again two minutes later to put Lazio ahead when Candreva sent Klose clear. The German's first attempt was saved but he fired in the rebound.
Klose doubled his tally seven minutes later after Hernanes' effort had been deflected into his path.
Livorno remains a point off 17th-placed Sassuolo and safety, with Bologna a point further back.
Chievo Verona had been in fantastic form and won its three games since firing coach Giuseppe Sannino and rehiring Eugenio Corini.
However, Sampdoria had also turned things around since changing coaches and was unbeaten under Sinisa Mihajlovic.
Eder scored the only goal of the game in the 16th minute, heading a corner into the top right. It was the first goal Chievo had conceded in five matches going back to Oct. 31.
Samp moves above Chievo and level on points with Udinese after second-half goals from Alexander Farnerud and Ciro Immobile helped Torino to its first win in Udine in 29 years.
Torino moved into seventh spot, two points above both Lazio and Genoa.
Andrea Bertolacci's 72nd-minute strike looked to have given Genoa victory but Giuseppe De Luca leveled for Atalanta deep into stoppage time.
Genoa's Luca Antonelli headed off the post in the 18th minute, while Luca Cigarini also struck the woodwork for Atalanta.
Parma and Cagliari remained level on points following a disappointing draw as Parma celebrated its centenary.
