ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- D.J. Cunningham scored 16 points, Jaron Lane 15 and twelve players scored in UNC Asheville's 92-56 romp past NAIA Bluefield on Thursday night -- the Bulldogs' highest point total of the season.
Lane, Cunningham, Andrew Rowsey and Jaleel Roberts all scored early as the Bulldogs (2-7) jumped out 11-4, never trailed and led by 20 at halftime.
Rowsey finished with 14 points, Chudier Pal added 11 points and David Robertson 10 for UNC Asheville, which remains unbeaten against Bluefield in three meetings. The Bulldogs, in their first home game of the season, shot 58.5 percent (38-65) and out-rebounded Bluefield 51-21. Sam Hughes had a career-high 11 boards.
Josh Nesbit scored 17 to lead the Ramblin' Rams (5-3), the only player in double figures. Nesbit hit half of his 12 shots, but Bluefield managed just 30.6 percent shooting from the field (19-62) and was 6 of 27 on 3-pointers.
