ROME (AP) -- Roma coach Rudi Garcia will not be fined for talking on his cell phone on the bench.
The curious incident occurred during the first half of a 2-0 win over Livorno on Sunday in Garcia's Italian league debut.
Talking on the phone on the bench is not allowed but the referee did not report the incident and football federation officials have also not mentioned it to authorities.
Garcia explained that he was simply discussing tactics with an assistant coach up in the tribune, a habit he developed with Lille in the French league.
For this weekend's match with Hellas Verona, however, Roma is organizing a two-way radio for the coaches to use.
